Even though there is plenty of it, it presents a critical inconvenience: it takes around 5.000 years to disintegrate naturally.
\nEach glass cm3 produces 155 kg of waste. However, if the glass is generated from recycled material, energy savings are essential since the amount of waste is considerably reduced.

\nThe recycling chain starts due to the collaboration of the consumer by leaving glass containers in the green tank.<\/p>\n

2.COLLECTION<\/strong>
\nGlass waste left in the tanks is collected and transported to the treatment plant.<\/p>\n

3.TREATMENT PLANT<\/strong>
\nGlass recycling starts with a cleaning process and subsequent separation of undesirable materials such as lids, metallic or adhesive elements included in bottles or containers. Subsequently, glass is smashed into crude particles or cullet that eventually are the raw material that is used to manufacture new containers.<\/p>\n

4.CONTAINER FACTORY<\/strong>
\nCullet is taken to the glass factory avoiding the extraction of raw materials such as sand, potash and limestone.<\/p>\n

\n

5.PACKING<\/strong>
\nPacking companies will use the new glass containers to insert the product and subsequently sell the packaged\/ bottled product to shops.<\/p>\n

\n

6.SALE<\/strong>
\nPacking companies will take the recycled glass product with the product to be sold inside to shops for its subsequent sale.<\/p>\n
